In person

30% Communication with the UIC Barcelona tutor. This includes:

- Proactivity in the search for internships

- Communication and meetings with the university tutor.

- Monitoring and self-evaluation reports.

- Attendance at the Professionalize program.

35% Reports from the company tutor.

35% Internship Report: (i) It is an essential condition to pass the Report so that you can weight your grade with the two previous components; (ii) In the event of failing the Report, the final grade of the subject will be the one obtained in the Report

Situations that result in a “fail” grade for the internship or submission in the 2nd call:

a) Not having started the internship by January 31st leads directly to the 2nd call. (Except for students doing internships at Seat, as these usually begin in March due to scheduling)

b) Being unable to certify the required internship hours based on the enrolment at the time of submitting the report. In this case, the student will be moved to the 2nd call.

c) Expulsion from the internship by the company or university supervisor.

d) Plagiarism of the Internship Report. If it occurs in the 1st call the report must be redone for the 2nd session. If the plagiarism occurs in the 2nd call, the internship will be graded as a “fail”.

e) Carrying out the internship without a valid collaboration agreement between UIC Barcelona and the company involved, or without an employment contract.

f) Once the internship has been assessed at the end of May, if a student unilaterally terminates the contract with the company without justified cause, even if they have completed the hours and received a grade, the faculty will modify the official record and the grade will be a fail (records can be modified until August 31st).

Additionally, the following situations will lower the grade:

a) Late submission of the Internship Report or the student’s CV will result in a penalty of 0.1 points per day of delay.

b) Students must submit progress reports within the established deadlines: late submission of a report will result in a penalty of 0.1 points per day of delay.

c) Early termination: If the student unilaterally decides to leave the internship after signing the agreement, without approval from the Internship Service or the faculty, the maximum possible grade will be 5.

d)If a student has accepted an offer and the agreement process has already started, but then decides to reject the offer, a penalty of 2 points will be applied.
