Education
Maricel Subirà Caselles has a Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat de Barcelona (1991). She specialized in Hematology and Hemotherapy at the Hospital de Sant Pau de Barcelona (1993-1996). She holds a Master's Degree in Hospital Management and Health Services from the Universitat de Barcelona (2008) and a postgraduate Diploma in Management of Integrated Health Services - DSIS from ESADE (2015). She has a PhD Degree in Medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2016).
Professional experience
Maricel Subirà Caselles is an Associate Professor of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. She has taught in various practical and clinical training courses for resident doctors and pharmacists and higher-level trained technicians for more than 10 years. She has worked as an Assistant Medical Doctor in Hematology and Hemotherapy at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, at the Althaia Foundation in Manresa and at the Sant Juan Despí Moisès Broggi Hospital. She is currently responsible for the Hematology Service at the Hospital Universitari Sagrat Cor and the Hospital Pilar de Barcelona. She has participated in more than 15 projects as principal investigator and in others as a collaborating researcher, has been an author in more than 50 publications in national and international journals, has made more than 25 presentations at national level and multiple communications at national and international congresses.
