She has worked in the patent departments of major Spanish pharmaceutical companies and, in 2007, joined ZBM Patents & Trademarks where she currently works.She passed the European Qualifying Examination in 2009 and has been a partner at ZBM since 2010. In 2015, she obtained the Diploma in Patent Litigation in Europe, which qualifies her to represent clients before the Unified Patent Court.
She has extensive experience in drafting and preparing patentability reports. She also has extensive experience in opposition/appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO) and is a specialist in preparing Freedom to Operate (FTO) reports and conducting due diligence. She also carries out general advisory work in the field of industrial property, including the optimization of portfolio strategies.
Training and dissemination play an important role in her career. She regularly gives seminars, training sessions and conferences on patents in companies, universities and research centres. Since 2020 she has participated annually as a guest lecturer in the European master's degree EMOTION, where she contributes to the training of international students in the field of patents and innovation protection strategy.
In recent years she has been recognized individually by IAM Patent 1000 —an international directory that identifies the best patent professionals— and by MIP/IP Stars, the global ranking of Managing IP that highlights leading experts in industrial property.
