The main objective of this course is to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the basic aspects regarding current legislation governing the activities of museums and foundations and their earnings, and the different means of financing the activities carried out by these entities, along with aspects related to intellectual copyright. In addition, the course aims to strengthen the students’ knowledge of the techniques and skills necessary for the legal and financial management of these entities.

PASOUR, Christoph Rudolf

Director
Mr Pasour is a TV Producer. He holds a degree in Art History and Media Studies from the Freie Universität Berlin (Germany) and also Edinburgh University (UK). He has authored articles for newspapers and magazines on media art and cinematography. He was the project manager and curator at the Museum for Cinematography in Potsdam, Germany; commissioning Editor in the film department of the 3sat cultural television channel (Germany/Austria/Switzerland). He has also been involved in script development (fiction/non-fiction) for production companies in Berlin and Hamburg. He has been a producer/author on documentaries since 2005 for production companies in Berlin, Hamburg and Barcelona for broadcasters such as ARTE, 3sat, ARD, ZDF, RAI, YLE, TV3. He currently is the director of the University Master's Degree in Cultural Management at UIC Barcelona.

CALVET GÓMEZ, Cristina Ana

Advocada especialitzada en dret de la propietat intel·lectual. Fa més de 12 anys que exerceix com a advocada en el sector artístic i cultural. Ha estat assessora de l’Associació Professional de Representants, Promotors i Mànagers de Catalunya (ARC); va treballar al Fòrum Universal de les Cultures de Barcelona com a advocada assignada al Departament de Producció d’Espectacles. Actualment treballa treballa a l’Associació d’Actors i Directors Professionals de Catalunya (AADPC) proporcionant assessorament legal en l’àmbit de les arts escèniques. En la seva trajectòria docent cal destacar que ha estat membre del Comitè Científic i professora del Màster en Drets de la Propietat Intel·lectual i Industrial del Col·legi d’Advocats de Barcelona; ICAB.

VARGAS VELÁSQUEZ, Amilcar Guillermo

Doctor per la Universitat de Barcelona i responsable de Patrimoni Mundial a la Casa Batlló. Va créixer a Mèxic. on va estudiar Comptabilitat i Arqueologia, i en 2012 es va traslladar a Barcelona per estudiar dos mestratges en Gestió del Patrimoni i Museologia. La seva principal tasca a la Casa Batlló és la implementació de la Convenció del Patrimoni Mundial, la sensibilització sobre el Valor Universal Excepcional i la consecució de les oportunitats potencials de la inscripció de la Casa Batlló a la Llista de la UNESCO. És especialista en Gestió del Patrimoni Mundial i ha treballat en institucions de renom com la UNESCO (París) i el INAH (Ciutat de Mèxic). La seva experiència internacional inclou estades acadèmiques a Canadà, Alemanya i Mèxic, presentacions en conferències a 13 països i diverses publicacions. És membre d'associacions professionals internacionals com ICOMOS, ICOM, WAC, IAWHP, EAA i GAPP.

SIMÓN ALTABA, Marc

Cum laude excellent international PhD in Intellectual Property Law. XII Extraordinary Award  of the PhD dept. at UPF Law Dept (2020). Advanced Master in Legal Sciences (Pompeu Fabra University). Bachelor in Law (Pompeu Fabra University). Predoctoral fellow by AGAUR, DAAD and Max Planck Institute of Munich, Germany. With publications in international and Spanish magazines specialized in Intellectual Property, like the International Review of Intellectual and Competition Law, or Pe. Magazine of Intellectual Property. Author of book chapters ("The right to transform and new technologies" in the book "Commercial Law and Technology" by Aranzadi Editorial; "Transformation of pieces of intellectual property and trademark law" for the book "Industrial Property Yearbook" by Tirant editorial) and of the monography "The musical creation and copyright" by the international editorial Juruá, among others. In the teaching field, previous to his incorporation to UIC, he has been an associate professor in UPF, the University of Barcelona, UNIR and ESIC. He has professional experience as a lawyer in intellectual and industrial copyright, and competition law.

VARGAS VELÁSQUEZ, Amilcar Guillermo

Amilcar Vargas holds a PhD from the University of Barcelona and is responsible for World Heritage at Casa Batlló. His main task is the implementation of the World Heritage Convention, raising awareness of the Outstanding Universal Value and pursuing the potential opportunities of Casa Batlló's inscription on the UNESCO List. He is an international expert in World Heritage Management. His international experience includes academic stays in Canada, Germany and Mexico, conference presentations in 13 countries and several publications. He is a member of international professional associations such as ICOMOS and ICOM, among others.
