The culture and the media have a relationship is not always easy. This course is studied from a theoretical and practical point of contact between the two social realities. The sessions are taught by communicators specializing in cultural issues from both media and cultural institutions. At the same time, and are provided are exercised, through case studies, instruments and communication skills necessary for the successful dissemination of goods and cultural events.
Objectives
- Understand and learn about cultural communication in all its aspects
- Equip students with broad knowledge and resources that allow them to face the reality of cultural communication
- Know the bases, methodology and application of communication techniques in the different cultural sectors
- Analyze and discuss practical cases from each of the sectors

PASOUR, Christoph Rudolf
Director
Mr Pasour is a TV Producer. He holds a degree in Art History and Media Studies from the Freie Universität Berlin (Germany) and also Edinburgh University (UK). He has authored articles for newspapers and magazines on media art and cinematography. He was the project manager and curator at the Museum for Cinematography in Potsdam, Germany; commissioning Editor in the film department of the 3sat cultural television channel (Germany/Austria/Switzerland). He has also been involved in script development (fiction/non-fiction) for production companies in Berlin and Hamburg. He has been a producer/author on documentaries since 2005 for production companies in Berlin, Hamburg and Barcelona for broadcasters such as ARTE, 3sat, ARD, ZDF, RAI, YLE, TV3. He currently is the director of the University Master's Degree in Cultural Management at UIC Barcelona.

VILLANUEVA BENITO, Isabel
Graduada en Comunicació Audiovisual i en Publicitat i Relacions Públiques a la Universitat de Navarra. A més a més, té un Grau Superior de Música en l'Especialitat de Cant del Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu de Barcelona. Recentment ha finalitzat la seva dissertació de doctorat: "Òpera, cinema i mitjans tecnològics". Actualment, treballa com a vicedegana de la Facultat de Ciències de la Comunicació a la Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona). Les seves àrees d'ensenyament estan relacionades amb el so, la música i el cinema, i els mitjans i la producció cinematogràfica. Com a professional ha treballat com a productora, guionista i supervisora musical en diferents canals de televisió com ara Telecinco i Antena3.

MARTÍNEZ RIBAS, Inés
Writer, reporter and sociologist. She studied at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the University of East London (UEL) and the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). She graduated in Political Sciences and Sociology (UAB and UEL) and Sciences of Information (UAB) and she studied a Master in Journalism El País (UAM). She has worked as editor in newspapers such as El País, La Vanguardia and El Periódico; she was the press and protocol manager in institutions like ‘La Caixa’ Foundation and The Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona (MACBA), and she has written many articles. She works as a communications consultant. ‘Caribdis. En mar de nadie’’ (Ed. Distrito 93, 2020), her first novel, was finalist in the III August Dupin Contest Black Novel 2020.
