The Restructuring Course begins at the Faculty of Law

The first session was held by the Dean, María Fernández Arrojo, and Joan Vall, president of the College of Chartered Accountants of Catalonia

The UIC Barcelona Faculty of Law kicked off a new edition of the Restructuring Course on Monday, 8 January. The introduction and inaugural session was attended by María Fernández Arrojo, Dean of the Faculty, and Joan Vall, President of the College of Chartered Accountants of Catalonia.

The Faculty of Law designed this postgraduate course with the aim of analysing the stages prior to insolvency. In addition, the course aims to look deeper into current law on restructuring and insolvency and the main institutions involved. By analysing the private legal norms that govern economic crises in businesses, within the framework of business economic structure, the course aims to reflect on the legal framework for Spanish law, from a perspective of comparative law.

This in-person and online course is led by Tiziana Di Commo, head of the procedural law department at UIC Barcelona; Ignasi Fernández, professor at the Faculty of Law; and Raúl Lorente, coordinator of the restructuring commission of the College of Chartered Accountants of Catalonia.

The course is run by UIC Barcelona in conjunction with the College of Chartered Accountants of Catalonia.
