Students from the Double Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Law visit the Administrative Courts of Barcelona
Students had the opportunity to experience first-hand how the courts operate and observe the day-to-day work of legal professionals
On 22 April, students from the Double Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Law at UIC Barcelona traded the law classroom for the courts and took a first-hand look at the daily workings of administrative litigation procedures.
The activity was carried out with the collaboration of court representative Joan Gallart Masvidal, from the firm Anzizu, López & Castellanos, court representatives since 1904 and specialists in administrative litigation. Thanks to his knowledge of the jurisdiction and guidance, together with the course lecturer and practising lawyer specialising in administrative litigation, Inés Canadell Torras, students had the opportunity to gain direct, hands-on insight into the functioning of the courts.

Practical training
During the visit, the students attended different court proceedings and observed first-hand the conduct of oral hearings, evidentiary proceedings and procedural adjournments. They also spent time in the presence of judges, lawyers, court representatives, expert witnesses and court staff, observing how the professionals involved in judicial proceedings interact.
The visit concluded at the offices of Anzizu, López & Castellanos, where the students discovered how the firm operates internally, guided by Eulalia Castellanos, director and expert in administrative litigation. The court representative discussed her career path and explained how court representatives and lawyers work together in administrative litigation proceedings.
This type of initiative strengthens UIC Barcelona’s commitment to practical legal training, closely aligned with professional reality and aimed at offering students high-impact learning experiences.
