UIC Barcelona establishes synergies with the DomusVi Foundation to promote continuing education

The two entities have signed a cooperation agreement that encompasses teaching Geography and Music to the users of the DomusVi residences, subjects that form part of the Foundation’s Senior University academic programme.

The DomusVi Foundation, which promotes and shares knowledge and learning among older people, has signed a cooperation agreement with UIC Barcelona with the main aim of collaborating on the teaching of subjects on its Senior University academic training programme.

Both organisations are committed to the continuous learning of older people. In this sense, UIC Barcelona is committed to cooperating on teaching for different academic disciplines taught as part of the Senior University project. These subjects will be studied at the same time by the students of the Experience Campus. The DomusVi Foundation joins the University’s project by providing a donation to the institution, as well as actively participating in this academic project.

The agreement has been officially signed today at the University’s Barcelona Campus, in the presence of the Rector of UIC Barcelona, Dr Alfonso Méndiz, and the institutional president of the DomusVi Foundation, Josefina Fernández.
