UIC Barcelona ranks among the top 5 private universities for studying Medicine, according to a ranking by ConSalud magazine
The ranking was based on criteria such as academic reputation and educational innovation, teaching quality, employability, and international positioning.
The digital newspaper ConSalud, a leading publication in the healthcare sector, has compiled a ranking highlighting the best private universities in Spain for studying a degree in Medicine. UIC Barcelona is ranked among the top 5 private universities in Spain for studying Medicine, alongside Universidad de Navarra, Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio, Universidad CEU San Pablo and Universidad Europea de Madrid.
The ranking, which considers factors such as academic reputation and educational innovation, teaching quality, employability and positioning in international indices, recognises the educational model offered by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at UIC Barcelona. Medicine students receive training in cutting-edge facilities – such as the Comprehensive Centre for Advanced Simulation – in a hospital environment and alongside renowned professionals. Likewise, UIC Barcelona’s distinctive teaching methodology seeks to educate future healthcare professionals through a holistic approach that goes beyond diagnosis and treatment to include prevention, attention to social issues and the patient’s environment, always placing the patient at the centre.
As highlighted by the digital magazine, universities must adapt their academic programmes to ensure that future healthcare professionals acquire the necessary competencies to respond to new models of patient care and the evolving healthcare system and society. In this regard, the health-related degrees offered at UIC Barcelona – including the Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine – stand out for their comprehensive, person-centred approach, delivered in facilities where simulation and educational innovation are key.
