A total of 16 students represented the University in the National Championships, where Marina García excelled in swimming and Ewen Toulgoat in athletics

Athletics, handball, climbing, swimming and taekwondo. These are the sports in which UIC Barcelona participated in the 2021-2022 Spanish University Championships. The Catholic University of Saint Anthony (UCAM) organised 20 of the 28 competitions to mark its 20th anniversary.

The three medals won by physiotherapy student Marina Garcia in the Spanish University Swimming Championship were the highlights for UIC Barcelona. It was a great performance by the student, who finished with a gold in the final of the 50 metres and two silvers in the 100 metres breaststroke and 100 metres freestyle in the championship held in Torre Pacheco (Murcia).

Physiotherapy student Ewen Toulgoat also won a bronze medal in athletics in the 5000 metres, with a finishing time of 14:52:99. Aitziber Urrutia, a nursing student, came in 5th position in the Spanish University Climbing Championship, held in Valencia.
