UIC Barcelona’s University Master’s Degree in Art and Cultural Management has been included for the first time among the 250 Best Master’s Degrees by El Mundo, ranking 5th in the Cultural Management category. This distinction comes in a particularly significant year for the programme, which has just celebrated its 25th anniversary, further cementing its position as one of the leading master’s degrees in the country and among Spain's most international programmes in this field.

In its assessment, El Mundo underscores the international dimension of the programme, which provides students the opportunity to take part in an academic trip to Hong Kong and pursue a double degree with Boston University (USA). These opportunities reflect the programme’s international outlook, with a fully English-taught pathway and, in both this format and the Catalan and Spanish-language track, strong ties with a broad network of universities, cultural institutions and prominent professionals at both national and international level.

Since its creation ahead of the 2001-2002 academic year, the master’s programme has educated more than 1,000 students from 80 nationalities and has contributed to the professionalisation of cultural management from a humanistic, innovative and global perspective. It currently has a network of 528 agreements with cultural institutions and an employment rate of 74.1%, factors that reinforce its position as a leading programme.

Three UIC Barcelona master’s programmes among the best in Spain, according to ‘El Mundo’

This recognition builds on the results achieved by other UIC Barcelona programmes in the same edition of the ranking. The University Master's Degree in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry has retained its third-place position in its field, while the University Master's Degree in International Cooperation in Sustainable Emergency Architecture is ranked 2nd in the Design and Architecture category.

Each year, El Mundo’s 250 Best Master’s Degrees ranking selects the five top programmes in fifty specialities based on an analysis of 26 criteria and assessments from teaching staff, experts, alums and collaborating companies. The inclusion of the Master’s Degree in Art and Cultural Management reaffirms UIC Barcelona’s commitment to excellence in education, with programmes connected to the needs of the sector and a clear international outlook.
