"Antonio Gaudi" photography competition

Authors

All members of the UIC Barcelona university community can be submitted individually (up to a maximum of 3 photographs can be submitted).

Theme

The aim is to capture in images the light, organic forms, and vibrant colors that evoke the creative universe of Antoni Gaudí, reflecting the spirit of trencadís, nature as a master, and the harmony between architecture and life.

Files containing content that violates the right to honor, personal and family privacy, or the image rights of individuals will not be published or accepted, nor will those that undermine respect for architectural and cultural heritage or are contrary to the principles of UIC Barcelona.

Presentation of the photographs

To send us the photographs, send them to cultura@uic.es. The format of each image must be:

  • name_surname_title
  • JPEG file
  • minimum resolution of 1,200 pixels

* If any of the above-mentioned information is missing or any of the requirements are not met, the photographs will be automatically disqualified.

Jury

The jury will be made up of experts in the field, who will evaluate the works presented and award the prize, according to their criteria, to the best compositions. However, the jury reserves the right to declare the prize void if the quality of the photographs is not good enough.

Prize

A winner will be chosen from among the participants of the Barcelona Campus and a winner from among the participants from the Sant Cugat Campus. Each winner will receive a €100 gift voucher redeemable at FNAC stores.

Reproduction rights

It is understood that the participants authorize, without limitation of systems, media, or countries, the reproduction of their works without payment of rights. Contestants are responsible for any claims for image rights. Participating in this contest implies full acceptance of these rules. The resolution that must be adopted for any incident not foreseen in these bases corresponds to the International University of Catalonia, which will resolve it with the best criteria, without any appeal being appropriate.

* UIC Barcelona reserves the right to accept and publish the photographs submitted.

The submission of photographs generated, created or edited, in whole or in part, using artificial intelligence is strictly prohibited. Only images taken with conventional photographic devices (digital and analogue cameras and smartphones) shall be accepted. Participants must confirm authorship of the submitted images and ensure that they have not been generated or modified using AI technology. In the event of doubt or suspicion, the organisers reserve the right to request the original camera file (RAW or equivalent) and the photo’s metadata, as well as information on the editing process. Participants who fail to comply with this regulation shall be automatically disqualified.
