Mentoring

BOOST YOUR TALENT

Each person is unique, and everyone has their own talent. Discover yours and make the most of it!

BOOST YOUR TALENT

Boost Your Talent is the UIC Barcelona programme designed to help you be the protagonist of your professional growth and become the best version of yourself.

How do we do it?

  1. We assign a personal mentor to you
  2. We give you the tools to discover your skills profile
  3. We offer workshops and activities to help you grow in the area you decide
  4. We channel your talent into extracurricular activities

Mentor

As UIC Barcelona student, you have a personal mentor assigned to you. You will find their name in the mentoring section of the intranet. They are someone dependable who will be there for you whenever you need them: a lecturer from your bachelor’s degree or a professional from your field of study.

What does a mentor do?

They are a key piece of BOOST YOUR TALENT. Their guidance will help you to be the best version of yourself.

Put simply:

  • They will provide material, resources and tools such as self-awareness tests that are commonly used in the business world.
  • They will guide you in interpreting the results and together you can examine the development of your talents.
  • They will help you decide on a personal programme to grow your skills.

There is an element of science in personal development: you have to know how to make plans of action, recognise your strengths and weaknesses, and find ways to make your professional dreams come true.

The sessions are individual and confidential. In general, each student has three or four sessions with their mentor throughout the year. But some have more: they take advantage of the opportunity. That depends on you!

How can I contact them?

You will find their name and email in the mentoring section of the intranet. Get in touch with them from mid-September.
