Presentation
This summer course aims to equip senior undergraduate students with a comprehensive understanding of social entrepreneurship, blending theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students will explore the principles of social economy and international development, alongside the essential financial acumen required to launch and sustain impactful ventures. The programme will specifically delve into the B Corp movement as a leading framework for businesses committed to high standards of social and environmental performance. The program culminates in a collaborative project where students apply their learning to design a social enterprise, fostering teamwork and practical problem-solving.

Week 4: Integrated Project Development and Final Presentations

Assessment:
- Active participation (15%): Engagement in discussions, workshops and company visits.
- Weekly assignments/short exercises (30%): Practical exercises related to each module (e.g., financial analysis, Theory of Change drafting).
- Final integrated social enterprise project (55%):
- Project Proposal/Plan (written document): 30%
- Final Presentation: 25%
Prerequisites & admissions
This course is open to international and local undergraduate or graduate students
The programme will be taught entirely in English. Non-native students must have at least a B2 level of English.
Admissions process
Apply for a spot in our UIC Barcelona Summer Programme by completing the online application before 15 April 2026.
The following documents must be attached to the form:
- Official transcript of records
- Passport or identity document
- Non-native speakers must submit proof of having at least a B2 level of English or equivalent
Course confirmation and tuition fee payment
Following the application period, we will inform you whether your place has been confirmed.
Once your place has been confirmed, you must make the corresponding payment before 30 April 2026.
UIC Barcelona reserves the right to cancel a course if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
