Corporate entrepreneurship was the main topic of the second session of the 2022 Emprèn series

Is it possible to create a disruptive project within an organisation? Can you be an entrepreneur from within a large company? This was the topic of the second session of the 2022 Emprèn series, held by Alumni & Careers

The objective of this second round table was to examine the concept of ‘intrapreneurs’: those internal profiles of a company that drive projects that, “can create new lines of business or service in the same company”, according to Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences lecturer Juanjo Marin José, session moderator.

On this occasion, Anna Busquets, advisor and founder of Muutos Consulting; David Reyero, senior director of human resources at Sanofi Iberia, and Marçal Amado, ecommerce operations lead at Nestlé and lecturer at UIC Barcelona, all participated in the Emprèn lecture.

At the event Busquets spoke about the topic from a consultancy point of view, and Reyero and Amado, referred to business experience when addressing what is necessary for corporate entrepreneurship: humility; knowing how to stop, watch and listen; challenging the status quo, without fear of negative reactions.

The next session of the series will take place on 22 September, titled “Entrepreneurship in Women”. The 2022 Emprèn series is an initiative that has the support of Santander Universities and is organised by the UIC Barcelona Department of Alumni & Careers.
