The Faculty of Dentistry is set to host the 19th Updates in Dentistry Conference (JAO), a well-established event that has become one of the leading scientific meetings for dentists, dental hygienists and other oral health professionals.

Since its first edition in 2007, the JAO has provided a forum for sharing knowledge, revealing the latest developments in dentistry and updating the clinical skills of dental professionals, helping them meet current clinical challenges.

In addition to the scientific programme, attendees may also visit the exhibition area, where some of the industry's leading companies will present the latest innovations in technology, equipment, materials and solutions for clinical practice.

In addition, the conference will once again serve as a meeting point for the Faculty of Dentistry’s Alumni community and professionals from different areas, fostering the exchange of experiences and new avenues for collaboration.

Connecting talent and opportunities

As part of the 19th Updates in Dentistry Conference, Alumni and the Faculty of Dentistry have organised the fourth edition of the Career Forum, an initiative designed to promote networking and support students as they transition to the world of work.

The event will bring together national and international organisations in an exhibition area where they will showcase their projects, present their career opportunities and engage directly with students interested in entering the job market.

The conference will also provide a setting for the traditional Alumni Reunion, which this year will honour the Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry’s Class of 2006 on the 20th anniversary of their graduation.
