UIC Barcelona School of Architecture L’Harmonia. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. 2nd floor

On Thursday 30 September, Espacio l’Harmonia-Museu L’Hospitalet in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat will host the closing ceremony for the final degree projects exhibition for projects created by students from the  UIC Barcelona School of Architecture. Entitled “L’H: Hub of Hubs. Social challenges and urban reprogramming”, the exhibition consists of almost twenty projects developed by final year students taking a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and physically set up in four areas of l’Hospitalet de Llobregat with the aim of boosting its urban restructuring and favouring the transition toward a city model that is more adapted to the social and environmental needs of the 21st century.

The event, open to the public, will offer a description of the strategies and reflections that arose from this exercise, and the proposals put forward in this exhibition.

Programme:

•    Introduction to the event by Iñaki Baquero, an architect and TFG lecturer.
•    A description of the field and its limitations, entitled: “Social challenges and urban reprogramming: Teaching strategies for contemporary reflection”. Given by Miquel Lacasta, an architect and TFG coordinator.
•    A description of three project proposals for the city by architects and graduates Valentina Risemberg, Mireia Acacio and Javi Solans.
