UIC School of Architecture and the RIA Foundation will present the exhibition "Decentralised productive ecosystems" on 19 October at the Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc. The exhibition presents a line of research, debate and knowledge exchange exploring the role of non-metropolitan territories in the future of architecture.

The project is the result of two years of collaboration between the School of Architecture and the RIA Foundation, founded by the British architect David Chipperfield. First presented at Casa RIA in summer 2025, the exhibition brings together research and projects developed in two study areas: Barbanza, in Galicia, and the Osona region, in Catalonia.

The exhibition now comes to Barcelona and will be open to visitors at the Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc from 19 October to 30 November. The event will also include three public round-table discussions:

• 2 November: Learning and thinking beyond the city
• 16 November: Augmented ruralities
• 30 November: Frontline methodologies

The sessions aim to create opportunities for knowledge exchange between Galicia and Catalonia, bringing together different perspectives on the future of productive rural territories.
