Foros 2025: "Sacred Architecture: The Visible of the Invisible"

UIC Barcelona School of Architecture Aula Magna

On April 9, the Foros 2025 Architecture Series will kick off with its first session, dedicated to sacred architecture. Three renowned experts will deliver lectures: Dr. Héctor Devesa Santa Creu, discussing The Sublimation of Beauty Through Architecture; Dr. Leopoldo Gil Cornet, on Sacred Architectural Heritage and Its Conservation; and Dr. Nacho Vicens Hualde, presenting Symbolism in Ephemeral Sacred Architecture. The session will be introduced by architect and professor Dr. Josep Lluís Ginovart.

Foros 2025 is held under the theme "Principle, Form, and Conservation of Architecture: The Paradigm of Sacred Architecture", inviting reflection on architecture’s most essential foundations through the lens of Christian sacred architecture and its enduring relevance as a universal model.

In a global context marked by the critical reassessment of values that have sustained architectural discipline for over two millennia, Foros 2025 offers a thoughtful examination of the principles that have guided architecture’s form, use, and conservation throughout history.

Free admission until full capacity is reached.
