Presentation
Purpose
Teaching to love was created to address the challenges currently facing children and adolescents – confusing affective models, trivialisation of sex, lack of commitment and social pressure – through scientific, humanistic and holistic education.
The aim of the course is to prepare the primary educators in love: parents and teachers, who offer young people ongoing support and require solid tools to guide them with sound judgement and sensitivity.
Educational purpose
To educate emotionally mature and free individuals, capable of loving with commitment and dedication, through:
learning to make sound decisions |
embracing one’s own masculinity or femininity |
balanced management of feelings and relationships |
friendship, dating, commitment |
against pornography, casual sex and emotional harm |
The course qualifies participants to deliver Loving with Science, a comprehensive school programme in affective–sexual education for ages 3 to 18.
Value proposition
Empowering parents and teachers
- The aim of the course is not to create new external experts but turn parents and educators into figures of trust. It provides them the resources they need to respond clearly, respectfully and scientifically to everyday affective questions.
→ They become the “go-to experts” for their children and pupils.
Holistic and personalist approach
- It educates the person in all dimensions – body, mind, affectivity and spirit – combining science and character formation.
- With a humanistic and scientific approach, independent of religious beliefs, it is suitable for all person-centred educational institutions.
Scientific rigour
- Grounded in 10 disciplines: anthropology, physiology, psychology, sociology, communication, neuroscience, pedagogy, bioethics/law, epistemology and sexual differences.
- It provides a solid scientific and pedagogical foundation, distinguishing itself from programmes focused solely on biological, moral or emotional aspects.
Educational continuity
- It is linked to the school programme Loving with Science, which translates learning into practical tools: books, teaching resources, interactive platform and continuous education.
- Knowledge is applied both in the classroom and at home.
Benefits
For educators
- Robust pedagogical and scientific resources.
- Ongoing training and professional support.
- Heightened moral authority.
- Ability to provide guidance calmly, coherently and respectfully.
For parents:
- A reinforced role as primary educators.
- Increased coherence between the home and school.
- Tools for discussing affectivity and sexuality.
For pupils (from Loving with Science):
- Emotional maturity and responsibility.
- View of love as commitment and mutual respect.
- Risk prevention and improved affective wellbeing.
- Development of self-esteem, self-mastery and capacity to love.
The course fosters holistic self-knowledge, character development and the acquisition of intra- and interpersonal skills, offering a practical, rigorous and human-centred education.
