The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of UIC Barcelona has a close relationship with four hospitals in the region (three hospitals and one primary care centre), sharing a common project; teaching, research promotion and health care.
This collaboration means that the Hospital Universitari General de Catalunya, Hospital Universitari de Granollers, Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa and EAP Sardenya become university centres where students of the Faculty can complete clinical work experience during their studies. Students have the opportunity to work in real health environments, combining theoretical teaching with healthcare practice in different medical and surgical areas.
These are centres of excellence that guarantee quality training with the supervision of active professionals. Many of these experts are also lecturers in the bachelor’s degree and develop research projects in collaboration with the university, thus promoting knowledge transfer and academic excellence.
These synergies reinforce UIC Barcelona’s commitment to comprehensive and innovative training, preparing future professionals to face the challenges of the current healthcare system.
Additionally, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences also has collaboration agreements with more than 200 health and care centres, where students of the bachelor’s degrees in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Medicine have the opportunity to carry out practical training in what will be their future professional environment.
