Due to the forecast of strong winds tomorrow, Thursday 12 February, the Civil Protection of the Government of Catalonia has announced that educational, university, sporting and non‑urgent healthcare activities will be suspended.
 

The Government is also advising people to avoid travel unless necessary and to work remotely wherever possible.
 

UIC Barcelona informs you that:
 

All on‑site teaching and academic activities are suspended. Please do not come to the campuses or to the CUO or Support University Clinics, which are part of UIC Barcelona.
 

Civil Protection has also stated that an emergency alert will be sent to mobile phones this afternoon to update the public on the measures related to the strong winds.
 

We will continue to share information through the University’s usual communication channels as the situation develops.
 

UIC Barcelona asks the entire university community to follow the instructions and recommendations issued by the authorities at all times.
