The Solar Colégios network in Brazil organised a workshop on tutor training at Colégio Porto Real in Rio de Janeiro on 20–21 September, attended by more than 150 teachers from schools across the country. One of the main guests was lecturer Montserrat Gas, who delivered a session on supporting families through schools. The talk explored key aspects of family support and introduced a range of tools that can be implemented in schools – particularly through tutoring – to foster strong relationships with families.

This training forms part of the family support project developed and led by lecturer M. Pilar Lacorte, director of Training Programmes at the Institute for Advanced Family Studies at UIC Barcelona. One of the outcomes of this project is the Postgraduate Degree in Family Support and Guidance, which has been offered since 2022 and already has more than 100 graduates from 20 countries worldwide. The fourth edition of the postgraduate programme will begin in October 2025.
