Pep Martorell analyses the real impact of artificial intelligence on the decision-making of leaders in a new Alumni Breakfast Club
The most recent edition of the Alumni Breakfast Club, held on 16 December under the title "IA: From Hype to Real Impact – What Leaders Need to Know Today”, highlighted the importance of making informed decisions about artificial intelligence in a context characterised by constant change and the rapid transformation of organisations.
During the session, Pep Martorell, an expert in technological strategy, supercomputing and artificial intelligence, provided a clear and rigorous overview of AI’s crucial role in business success. During his talk, he explored the fundamental aspects of this technology, how it works and its integration into corporate strategy, highlighting the need to move beyond initial enthusiasm and generate a genuine and sustainable impact.
The session was moderated by José Ignacio Parellada, Law '92 alum and president of the Alumni Board, and attended by numerous prominent professionals interested in understanding how artificial intelligence is reshaping organisations and leadership models.
The debate also touched on key issues such as the ethical principles guiding AI adoption, the strategic decisions involved in its implementation within companies and the skills leaders need to successfully navigate the challenges of a constantly evolving technological landscape.
