UIC Barcelona and Talento-EPHOS connect young talent with companies in the pharmaceutical and biomedical sector at Talent Day 2026

The event brought together students, recent graduates and early-career professionals with leading companies from the pharmaceutical and biomedical sector at the Sant Cugat campus.

The Sant Cugat Campus hosted the first edition of Talent Day on 28 April, an initiative promoted by the University in collaboration with Talento‑EPHOS. The event was designed to connect companies in the sector with young talent interested in developing their professional careers in industry.

The day brought together students, recent graduates and junior professionals with prominent companies from the pharmaceutical and biomedical sector, in a dynamic environment focused on networking and knowledge exchange. Through a series of information stands, participating companies were able to present their projects, corporate culture and employment opportunities, while also interacting directly with attendees and answering their questions.

The event was officially opened by Belén Castro, secretary general of UIC Barcelona, together with Lorena Moraleda, director of Operations at Talento-EPHOS.

During the day, several round tables were held: “Why are the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors among the most attractive for developing your professional career?”, “Keys to success in recruitment processes: stand out in leading programmes!” and “Innovative ways to attract and retain talent: processes and tools you need to know”. The sessions were led by Lorena Moraleda and featured participation from leading companies such as Novartis, Mesoestetic, Asyval, Fresenius Kabi, AstraZeneca, Grifols, Noucor, Galenicum, Kern Pharma, Bayer, Boehringer, Ipsen, Inibsa and Sanofi.

Through initiatives such as Talent Day, UIC Barcelona and Talento-EPHOS reinforce their commitment to education and employability, creating spaces for engagement that help to reduce the gap between the academic and business worlds.
