This project is funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme

UIC Barcelona recently hosted the second Kitchen Lab 4 Kids event, part of a project funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme.

The aim of this initiative is to develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) competences among pre-school age children through cooking laboratories.

In addition to UIC Barcelona, the project also includes four other institutions: Akademia Ignatianum w Krakowie (Poland), the project’s general coordinator; Fondazione Politecnico de Milano and Libera Università Maria SS Assunta di Roma (Italy); and Dublin City University (Ireland).

Dr Maite Fuertes, adjunct lecturer in the Faculty of Education, is responsible for coordinating the project at UIC Barcelona. Other participating researchers include Dr Sílvia Albareda, Dr Mónica Fernández and Dr Mariana Fuentes.
