PrevED

PrevED is a research project that develops an innovative mixed reality (MR) intervention to help prevent eating disorders among adolescents and young adults. Its main purpose is to reduce emotion dysregulation and ED risk by offering an engaging, low-stigma digital therapeutic experience.

We have worked closely with students, families, educators and ED experts through interviews and focus groups to co-design the intervention. Our team is developing and refining the MR tool using a user-centred design approach and technical testing, including usability, user experience, cybersickness and presence.

Finally, we will conduct a randomised controlled pilot trial in schools and universities to evaluate its early effects compared to a wait-list control group. Our key audience is adolescents and young adults, along with the educators and professionals who support them.

MedMInd

MedMind is a digital SaaS platform that leverages people analytics to enhance the mental health of healthcare professionals. Designed for high-pressure environments, it provides real-time monitoring to identify stress sources and organisational factors that affect wellbeing.

Through personalised feedback and data-driven insights, we empower professionals to manage their health while helping organisations implement preventive interventions. Currently in the MVP stage, MedMind aims to humanise healthcare by reducing burnout and turnover through a scalable, evidence-based and inclusive approach, bringing essential innovation to the heart of the system.

BioSphereGutta

A novel bioactive gutta-percha for advanced endodontics. Our project is based on developing next-generation root-canal filling materials. We embed bioactive silica-based microspheres into traditional gutta-percha to boost adhesion to dentin, promote biomineralisation and enable potential drug delivery. We perform lab work to formulate and test these composite materials for bioactivity, sealing quality and biocompatibility. Our mission is to deliver a clinically viable, superior root-filling solution that reduces treatment failure and improves long-term dental health. Our target audience includes dentists, endodontists, dental researchers and dental-device partners.

Handrtaking

Haptic medical simulation platform that combines VR with haptic gloves to provide precise tactile feedback. We have developed next-generation haptic gloves and an interoperable microcontroller intermediate program (middleware), with experience in immersive healthcare training and R&D projects.

Our project focuses on developing a next-generation hardware middleware that enables precise, scalable control of haptic actuator networks for medical simulation. Its purpose is to introduce realistic tactile feedback into VR-based medical training, overcoming the limitations of current systems that lack high-fidelity touch interaction. The main activities include electronic design, firmware development, wireless communication integration and prototyping of haptic gloves and multi-actuator configurations. The technology supports procedures such as surgical training, physical examination and rehabilitation applications. Our key audience includes medical institutions, healthcare professionals and training centres seeking advanced simulation tools. The ultimate goal is to create an accessible, interoperable and clinically useful haptic platform that enhances medical education and improves patient outcomes.

ALSense

ALSense is an aptamer-based biosensor for faster, specific and accessible ALS diagnosis.

ALSense is developing an aptamer-based blood biosensor for the early and specific diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Our platform targets a panel of three biomarkers (neurofilaments and two TDP-43-related cryptic peptides), offering high sensitivity and rapid turnaround. Our main activities include biomarker validation, aptamer engineering, device prototyping and clinical translation. ALSense aims to serve neurologists, hospitals and health systems seeking faster, fairer and more accessible ALS diagnostics.

RawData is a B2B SaaS platform that digitalises and optimises the operational workflows of agricultural companies. A Barcelona-based AgTech startup that offers an all-in-one platform for agricultural management, including a digital field notebook, crop yield prediction and field workforce management.

AtomModular is industrialising 3D wood housing modules, combining zero emissions with advanced digitalisation.  A modular construction startup that builds homes using standardised modules and industrial processes, reducing both construction time and emissions. Our mission is to solve the housing crisis through the mass AIndustrialisation of modular wooden structures.
