Today urban rivers are unique public spaces used on a daily basis, and river rehabilitation projects in which the public plays a key role in the decision-making process have proven to be more accepted and feasible. The objective of this project is to develop a decision-making framework (DMF) aimed at guiding local and regional authorities in the planning and management of their urban rivers. This DMF is oriented to support: 1) the diagnosis and monitoring of existing social infrastructure through public participation geographic  information systems and 2) involvement in spatial transformations.
