Course on Bone Regeneration in Implantology Using Human Models

Course on Bone Regeneration in Implantology Using Human Models uicadmin
930192304
Limited
From 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Spanish

Presentation

Implant treatment is able to recover the aesthetics and function of missing teeth as well as the tissue surrounding them.

Knowledge of advanced implantology and periodontal techniques designed to increase the availability of bone and soft tissue offers the clinician the ability to tackle more complex clinical cases and, on the other hand, significantly improve the results across all cases that fall within the usual clinical ambit. For this reason, being able to manage such techniques has become virtually indispensible.

Assessment method

An online self-assessment test will be carried out at the end of the course so that students can assess the  achievement  of their personal goals and their knowledge of the content of the course.

Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to provide dentists and maxillofacial surgeons with the theoretical and above all practical capacity to perform bone and soft tissue reconstruction techniques as well as the most advanced implant surgery.

Digital Planning in Calcified Root Canals and Aplical Surgery

Digital Planning in Calcified Root Canals and Aplical Surgery uicadmin
930192304
Spanish

Leave your fears behind and learn the fundamentals of designing and printing your digital endodontic cases!

With this course, you will learn in a simple and practical way the step-by-step process of digital endodontic design.

For years now, digitally guided treatments have become part of the field of Endodontics.

Computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) technologies rely on cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) data to produce objects used in both surgical and non-surgical endodontics, as well as in educational settings.

The goal of this course is to review all current applications of 3D printing in endodontics and to learn how to design static guides for both calcified canals and apical surgery.

Presentation

This programme is aimed at professionals, whether generalists or specialists, who wish to start out in or expand their knowledge in the field of endodontics. The programme combines theory sessions on the most innovative, pioneering and cutting edge subjects, alongside practical work with the latest generation of equipment and techniques.

During this practical work students will perform procedures with different magnification levels (magnifying glasses and microscopes). Students will be supervised by lecturers in their practical work. The course will include sessions following up cases and each student will have an individual tutor session with a lecturer from the UIC Department of Endodontics.

The programme offers an extensive overview of current endodontics, covering advanced basic concepts of pulpo-periapical pathology, instrumentation, refilling, reconstruction after root canal, dental traumatology, dental implants and autotransplantation. The course is intended to improve the quality of students' endodontic treatments, so that they feel more secure in tackling more complex treatments (refilling, perforations, reabsorption and dental traumatology). Regeneration and pulpar revascularisation will also be explained.

Assessment method

An online self-assessment test will be carried out at the end of the course so that students can assess the  achievement  of their personal goals and their knowledge of the content of the course.

Skills the student will acquire

  • Appropriately isolate the operating area before a root canal treatment.
  • Plan root canal treatment appropriately.
  • Identify the equipment and instruments used in endodontics.
