Jordi Bermejo Gregorio holds a degree in Hispanic Philology (2010) and a PhD in Hispanic Philology from the University of Barcelona (2015), with a doctoral dissertation on the poetic-musical dramaturgy of Antonio de Zamora. His research focuses on Spanish theatre between the 17th and 18th centuries, with special attention to court theatre, courtly representativeness, the relationship between literature and politics, and the dialogue between tradition and modernity in the literature of the early Bourbons.
He has published around thirty research articles and critical editions (Antonio de Zamora, Torres de Villarroel, Tirso de Molina, José Cadalso), and has taken part in numerous conferences and seminars across Spain and Europe. Alongside his research work, he also engages in knowledge dissemination: activities with university theatre groups performing classical plays, talks on 18th-century Teruel’s literature and society, podcasts, and cultural outreach articles, among other initiatives.
He was a member of the research group Aula Música Poética (2012–2021), in which he participated in the Digital Música Poética projects, and since 2022 he has been part of the History, Architecture and Design group (UIC), where he has promoted an interdisciplinary approach.
In the teaching field, he has taught Spanish and World Literature at the University of Barcelona, the Institut del Teatre, and the Pompeu Fabra University, and is currently a tenure track professor at the International University of Catalonia.

Professional experience
