Association: This programme is run by Cercle Universitari Riells, a sociocultural association for university students, and Nasco Feeding Minds, a non-profit organisation seeking to help the people of Ghana access education and information. The latter promotes digital education to feed minds and change the paradigm of humanitarian aid.

Aim: Carry out various educational projects: women’s empowerment, environmental education, value education through sports, wheelchair building, etc.

Dates: 1 to 15 August (approx.)

Association: Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos is an international organisation that supports and cares for children being fostered in homes set up across Central and South America, ensuring their human rights as regards education, health and food.

Aim: Assist the home in Peru with everyday tasks, such as training workshops, extracurricular activities and home organization, sharing very special moments with the children and adolescents who live there.

Dates: last two weeks of July 2022

Association: ADESCI is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 2006 by a group of young people who pledged to do their part to improve the well-being of people in need.

Aim: Live and work alongside local specialists in different areas (doctors, dentists, schoolteachers and other experts) to support community development.

Association: MAWA-Active Africa is an association run jointly by two non-profits: MAWA in Malawi and Active Africa. It seeks to advance the development of Malawi’s poorest rural populations by supporting their education and health systems and thereby increasing and improving their standard of living, health and independence.

Aim: Help to paint schools, organise recreational and sports workshops for children, support initiatives to pick up plastic litter and take part in organic farming projects.

Dates: 15 to 30 July (approx.)

Association: Youth! Wake-Up! is a non-profit organisation that works to drive social transformation among disadvantaged and highly vulnerable groups in conflict zones by engaging local young people in cooperation and social action projects.

Aim: Help out at an inclusive summer camp, assisting with and leading recreational and stimulation activities for a group of children, some with special needs (Down’s syndrome, autism, paralysis, etc.).

Dates: Two weeks in July

Estimated cost: The volunteer programme itself is free of charge. However, volunteers will be responsible for the costs of transport, accommodation and meals for the duration of their stay.

Aim: Collaborate in a summer camp in the Bedouin schools in the Judean desert.

Association: Ateneu Universitari París is a cultural association that organises activities for university students. Its goal is to round out the university experience in an educational and human sense.

Aim: The “Mis amigos y yo” (My Friends and I) volunteer programme consists in leading recreational activities for paediatric cancer patients to boost their autonomy, self-esteem and social interaction.

Dates: Ten days in July (TBD)

Association: The Montblanc Foundation is a private foundation that promotes human development with special emphasis on the protection of children and young people.

Objectives: Assisting Monkole Hospital, organising educational activities in different orphanages, teaching Spanish and care training courses to girls of university age.

Association: Bonaigua School for Girls  is an all-female campus that offers academic courses, cultural, sporting and charity events, and a human, Christian education with an overall vision of the person, as well as full board and accommodation.

Objectives: Educational and recreational activities with children. Providing support to families at risk of social exclusion, visiting a refugee camp, undertaking social care work and trips around the country.

Dates: Between 8 and 18 July

Association: The Ateneu Universitari de París is a cultural association that organises activities for university students. Its goal is to be an educational, human complement to the university experience.  In collaboration with the Montblanc Foundation.

Objective: The “Summer for Women in Greece” volunteer project consists of helping in a summer camp for child refugees with the Armenian Catholic Church in Greece. It will provide support in a centre for people with Down’s syndrome (Pammakaristos Children’s Foundation) and in the Mother Teresa of Calcutta social canteens. A collaboration with Cáritas – Hellas.

Dates: 15-19 July
