Evaluation panels will be formed based on the subject areas or themes of the submitted projects. These panels will be made up of lecturers from the various faculties of the University.

Pre-selection

UIC Barcelona will pre-select all projects registered and submitted within the established deadline. This pre-selection will be based on the following criteria:
- Structure and organisation of the content
- Ability to analyse and synthesise
- Originality and scientific/social interest of the topic
- Relevance of the objectives
- Relevance of the conclusions
The best projects will go through to the first phase and must be defended orally. The list of pre-selected projects will be posted on the University website along with the dates for oral defences before the assigned panel.
First phase

Oral presentation of selected projects at the Barcelona campus in the morning.
The pre-selected projects must be defended orally before a panel. Each student will have 10 minutes to present:
- The relevance and interest of the project
- The main objective
- The methodology
- The conclusions
Panel members may ask questions and provide feedback following the presentation.
In addition to the pre-selection criteria, the following will be assessed:
- Clarity of presentation
- Oral and non-verbal communication
- Student’s motivation
- Use of graphic resources or presentations
Finalist projects will be announced within a maximum of 10 days and students will be notified by email.
Final
24 April 2026
Oral presentation of finalist projects and awards ceremony.
Presentations will be open to the public (limited capacity). The final will consist of an oral presentation of the project before a panel, under the same conditions as the first phase.
The panel will select the winning projects and announce them after all presentations and deliberations have concluded. Decisions made by the panels at all stages of the competition are final and not subject to appeal.
