Xarxes Vives’ University Debate League

UIC Barcelona is taking part in the Debate League for Secondary and Upper-secondary Students 2025-2026, a competition organised by the Vives Network of Universities.

For the sixth consecutive year, the University will take part in this year’s competition that aims to improve the participating students’ communication skills and foster their acquisition of transferable skills such as confidence, teamwork, creativity, documentation, analysis, discourse development, planning and decision making. In addition, the League provides teachers with a tool for teaching innovation and creates a space for cooperation between secondary and upper-secondary students.

In this edition the topic of the debate will be: "“Are we seeing a more sexist youth?”".

The Debate League for Secondary and Upper-secondary Students, organised by Vives Network, is aimed at fourth-year secondary school students and upper-secondary school students (and equivalents), as well as students from vocational training courses for 15- to 18-year-old’s, from La Franja, Catalonia, Valencia, the Balearic Islands, Andorra, Northern Catalonia and Cerdanya.

• Registration is open until 15 January.
• The local phase to be held at UIC Barcelona is scheduled for January (22, 23) 2026.
