The University Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management, honoured at the 2025 New Medical Economics Awards
The readers and editorial board of this prestigious publication recognised the use of simulation as a teaching tool in the master’s degree directed by Dr Boi Ruiz
The specialised journal on healthcare management and patient care recently announced the winners of the 2025 New Medical Economics Awards, which include the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences’ University Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management. More specifically, the honour awarded in the Talent Promotion, Teaching and Entrepreneurship category acknowledges the simulation classes included in the master’s degree’s curriculum and conducted in the Comprehensive Centre for Advanced Simulation (CISA) on the Sant Cugat Campus.
According to Dr Boi Ruiz, director of the master’s degree, “thanks to the CISA’s facilities, innovative equipment, and specialised teachers and actors, our students can perform exercises that simulate real situations that they will encounter in the exercise of their responsibilities as managers. This enables them to put the competences and skills acquired in the master’s degree into practice in a safe environment.”
The New Medical Economics Awards recognise the work of individuals who, in different areas of the health system, contribute to the ongoing improvement of patient care, efficient management and innovation in health.
