As part of the framework agreement between UIC Barcelona and the Clarós Foundation, and within the Faculty’s social commitment programme “Caring for smiles, changing lives”, nearly 500 vulnerable patients have received care

UIC Barcelona has been ranked among the 2,318 universities included in the general classification of the ranking based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Out of the 2,526 that participated, the University obtained a position of 301-400 globally and 12-14 nationally out of 52 universities

The proposals, available online, highlight the work developed in the field of cooperation at the University and are led by lecturers from the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Education Sciences, the Master's Degree in International Cooperation in Sustainable Emergency Architecture, and the School of Architecture

As part of the social commitment project “Caring for Smiles, Changing Lives,” the Faculty of Dentistry at UIC Barcelona is offering dental care to vulnerable people at its University Dental Clinic, in collaboration with the Banco Sabadell Foundation. This initiative is part of the actions promoted by the Faculty to encourage social commitment among students and contribute to improving oral health in groups at risk of social exclusion.

Pierre Monforte is the newest addition to the Faculty of Education Sciences at UIC Barcelona, after years of teaching at the University of Leicester in England, where he was an expert in political sociology, migration, integration, diversity and citizenship.

ELIA has signed a collaboration agreement with UIC Barcelona to support the talent of architecture students within the framework of the annual No Talent Without a Future campaign.Enterprise for Large International Architecture (ELIA) is a company founded by architect Borja Ferrater, alumnus and professor at UIC Barcelona, partner of the internationally awarded OAB Company.The Grants and Financial Aid Programme allocated 5.8 million euros for the benefit of students (academic year 22-23) and is provided thanks to the efforts of the university itself, individuals, companies, institutions and foundations.

Once again, the meeting, aimed at students of the University’s Degree in Nursing, gave visibility to the important teaching and social service task of the AIDIR units, enhancing fundamental competencies in the profession such as nursing leadership, autonomy, research and empathy

Promoted by the University's Faculty of Dentistry, the main aim of the project is to provide oral health care to the most vulnerable groups and to encourage a transformative change among students through the UIC Barcelona University Clinic of Dentistry and the support of entities with a strong social commitment such as the Banco Sabadell Foundation

The University hosted the exclusive premiere of the documentary to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day, with the aim of highlighting this cause and helping to raise social awareness

The researcher of the Department of Medicine, Pere Castellví, is leading the project to be carried out jointly with the Telèfon de l’Esperança (Telephone of Hope) initiative and which has the collaboration of Barcelona City Council and the Sant Joan de Déu Foundation.
