Loan

Section

The loans service allows you to take documents from UIC Barcelona libraries under the conditions established for this service.

Documents that may be borrowed

All documents may be borrowed from the library, in any format, except for the following:

  • Periodicals (journals, series, etc.)
  • Theses
  • Other documents excluded from loan at the discretion of the library.

How the loans service works

To borrow any document from the library, you must first check that it is available, in other words, that it is not excluded from loan, reserved or on loan to another person.

If it is available, you may take it straight from the shelf to the counter, where you must show your student card. For any queries, please contact the library staff.

If the document is not available, you may reserve it and the library service will inform you via e-mail when it becomes available.

You must return borrowed documents within the time indicated by UIC Barcelona libraries. You can return documents to both libraries of UIC Barcelona.

Failure to comply with loan conditions

You must return borrowed documents in the same condition as you received them and no later than the return date. Late return of documents incurs a one-day freeze on borrowing for each day of delay per document.

As holder of the student card, you are responsible for all documents taken out on it.
