DIR gyms

DIR is a chain of fitness and wellness centres with 20 gyms across Barcelona and Sant Cugat. If you are a UIC Barcelona student, PAS/PDI or Alumni member, you may sign up at any of its centres for the special rate of €47.52 for the under 30s and over 60s, and €55.40 for people between 30 and 60 (VAT included). This will include unlimited access to all centres during available opening hours and up to 9,800 fitness classes a month. You only have to present your student card together with your ID card at the reception of the DIR center where you want to sign up.

Artós Sports Club

Artós Sports Club is a sports complex located in the Barcelona district of Sarrià. It is home to 9 paddle tennis courts and 3 football pitches: 1 futsal (18×38) and 2 3-a-side football pitches (9×18). The complex offers any UIC Barcelona students, PAS/PDI or Alumni group members who show their UIC Barcelona card a special discount when booking paddle tennis courts, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. or 3 to 6 p.m., or football pitches, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pàdel Mirasol

Pàdel Mirasol is a sports centre with top-rate paddle tennis facilities in the heart of Mirasol, 2 km from the Sant Cugat Campus. This complex includes 4 paddle tennis courts, changing rooms and a restaurant, and offers UIC Barcelona students, PAS/PDI and Alumni members discounts on courts, Monday to Friday (working days only), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Brafa

The Brafa Sports School is a sports organisation with a social side that sees sports as a grassroots activity, and as a way to educate young people and adults.

This is why the school encourages the practice of different sports such as football, futsal, basketball, programmes to encourage 4 to 7 year-olds to get into sports. Psychomotor development and games are the main cornerstones of these activities.

It also has three 7 a side football pitches and two futsal pitches, all synthetic grass pitches, as well as a covered sports complex.

UIC Barcelona and Brafa have signed a cooperation agreement via which students, PAS and PDI staff and Alumni, as well as close family members, are eligible for a 15% discount on all the official fees.
