The Chair of Management by Missions and Corporate Purpose at UIC Barcelona is organizing a new session of the Chair Breakfasts on Tuesday, June 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. On this occasion, the guest will be Domènec Melé, emeritus professor in the Department of Business Ethics and holder of the Chair in Business Ethics and Business at IESE.

The title of the session is: “Foundations for a Humanistic Company Focused on the Person”. The growing recognition of the importance of people for business efficiency is not always accompanied by a humanistic vision that sees people as the origin, center and purpose of business activity — and not merely as resources or human capital.

Domènec Melé will present a personalist humanistic approach to the company, one that delves into the nature of the human person and views the company as a community of people, each with intrinsic dignity and in constant development.

The breakfast will take place at the Aula Jardí on the Barcelona campus (c/ Immaculada, 22) and can be followed both in person (with limited seating) and live online.
