First edition of UIC Radio Day to celebrate World Radio Day

Facultat de Ciències de la Comunicació

On 13 February, the Faculty of Communication Sciences at UIC Barcelona will be holding the first edition of ‘UIC Radio Day’, a special programme to commemorate World Radio Day. The programme can be followed live on the Faculty's YouTube channel, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The broadcast will include a morning news programme presented by the students of the Journalism. Afterwards, we will be able to listen to the entertainment programme Tot s'hi val (Anything goes), an initiative of Journalism and Audiovisual Communication students Marc García, Laia Bonjorn and Carlos Roiger, where they will talk to the dean of the faculty, Pedro Sigaud, in a relaxed and laid-back style.

Next, lecturer Maria Fitó will moderate a round table discussion on Artificial Intelligence and Generative Voice, with professionals from the world of voice-over and journalism Albert Murillo, Sergi Carles and Marc Lobato.

Later, sports news will be covered by third year students of Journalism with journalist Lluis Bou, in collaboration with the podcasts Els Timbalers and El Córner del Debate.

At a quarter to twelve, one of the most well-known DJs and music producers in Spain during the 90s, Quique Tejada, will be interviewed.

The special programme will conclude with the debate with experts and professionals from UIC Barcelona, Open Mic, to discuss the challenges and concerns of the world of communication, in a format similar to 59 segundos (59 seconds), the classic programme on Televisión Española. The student Edu Aguirán will be leading the section.

You can follow the programme live here.
