World Art Nouveau Day Lecture: “The Arts & Crafts of William Morris”
Aula A503 i en línia
As part of World Art Nouveau Day, Dr Judith Urbano, dean of the Faculty of Humanities at UIC Barcelona and an expert in art, will give a lecture titled “The Arts & Crafts of William Morris” on Tuesday 10 June at the University.
Dr Urbano will explore the many facets of William Morris (1834–1896) – designer, craftsman, publisher, poet, and essayist – and founder of the Arts and Crafts movement. This movement aimed to revive arts and crafts, advocated for a simple lifestyle, celebrated the beauty of everyday objects, and drew inspiration from nature.
The session will take place at 18:30 and can be attended in person in room A503 on the Barcelona campus, or online via Meet.
