PhDay Fest

The PhDay is an annual event organized by the Doctoral School of UIC Barcelona, designed to bring together the PhD community for a day full of learning, networking, and scientific dissemination. It’s a unique opportunity to share your research, connect with fellow researchers, and take part in activities specially designed to enhance your doctoral experience.

Day Program

  • 11:30 AM – Registration & Check-in
  • 12:00 PM – Welcome Remarks
  • 12:10 PM – Workshop: "Mental Health & the PhD"  ?
    A space to reflect on the emotional challenges of the PhD and learn strategies to manage academic stress. Join us and take care of your well-being!
  • 1:15 PM – Networking Lunch ?
    Connect with other PhD students in a relaxed atmosphere.
  • 2:30 PM – Scientific Poster Exhibition & Competition ?
    Present your research in a poster format and compete for the best scientific poster award.
  • 3:30 PM – Sessions with the CAD
    A meeting with the Academic Committees of the PhD Programs.
  • 4:30 PM – Coffee Break ☕
  • 5:00 PM – "Thesis in 4 Minutes" Competition ?
    Can you explain your thesis clearly and concisely in just 4 minutes? Take part and showcase your science communication skills!
  • 6:45 PM – Awards Ceremony & Cava Toast ?
