EIM English Multilevel Exam

The Departament d'Ensenyament and the Departament d'Economia i Coneixement of Generalitat de Catalunya regulate the recognition of the accreditation of linguistic competence in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) through degrees, diplomas and certificates issued by competent institutions and universities.

UIC Barcelona, thanks to the collaboration between the Department of Applied Linguistics and the Escola d'Idiomes Moderns (EIM) of the University of Barcelona, offers its own certificates of English level, linked to the passing of face-to-face courses.

Multilevel English Certificate preparation Workshop

The course registration fee includes the exam fees. The certificate you get if you pass the exam is a certificate from the Catalan universities with which you can accredit levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2 of English.

The Catalan universities' own certificates are recognised by the entire Catalan education system and are useful for accrediting your level of English at the University and, in the professional sphere, they will also be useful for working in the public administration or for participating in a mobility programme. They are also useful for mobility applications and for accessing grants and financial aid.
 

Once you have achieved EQF levels A2, B1 or sub-levels B2.1 or B2.2 through the Multi-Level Certificate in English Preparation Workshop, you can apply for a grant towards the cost of the course fees.
