The University is ranked for the first time in the Finance and Business Analytics categories and for the second consecutive year in Management

UIC has expanded its presence in the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2027, QS’s international ranking specialising in postgraduate business programme. In this edition, the University is featured in three categories, up from one in the previous edition, further strengthening the international profile of its master’s and postgraduate programmes.

For the first time, UIC is ranked in the Master’s in Finance and Master’s in Business Analytics categories, while also placing in Master’s in Management for the second consecutive year.

The programmes appearing in this edition are the University Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Financing: Venture Capital and Private Equity, the Executive Master’s Degree in Advanced Analytics & Data Science and the University Master’s Degree in Arts and Cultural Management.

The incorporation of new programmes into this international ranking reflects UIC’s ongoing commitment to developing a postgraduate portfolio linked to changes in the professional landscape and areas such as management, finance, entrepreneurship and data analytics.

In the Master’s in Management category, UIC features in the list for the second consecutive year, placing in the 201+ band worldwide out of 256 ranked higher education institutions and in the 14–19 band out of 19 institutions in Spain. Among the results, the University ranks 70th worldwide in Diversity, with a score of 76.6. Other notable results highlight the international profile and diversity of its student body and teaching staff, as well as the impact of its research.

UIC also appears for the first time in the Master’s in Finance category, placing in the 201+ band worldwide out of 285 institutions and in the 9–12 band out of 12 institutions in Spain. The programme’s strongest results were in Value for Money and Diversity, where it ranked in the 131–140 band worldwide. It also achieved the highest score in the Payback Month indicator, which measures the time needed to recoup the investment made in the programme.

The University also made its debut in the Master’s in Business Analytics category, placing in the 201+ band worldwide out of 234 higher education institutions and in the 8–12 band out of 12 institutions in Spain. Its best scores were in Diversity and Value for Money, with both indicators in the 151–200 band worldwide.

The expansion of UIC’s presence in the QS Business Master’s Rankings coincides with the development of postgraduate programmes designed to respond to the needs of an evolving professional landscape while strengthening their international profile.

This development is aligned with the University’s Strategic Plan, whose key priorities include building a global university that is open to the wider community and offering master’s, postgraduate and continuing education programmes tailored to the evolving needs of professionals, companies and institutions.

The QS Business Master’s Rankings analyse programmes based on aspects related to graduate employability and career progression, thought leadership, return on investment and diversity.

The 2027 edition of the QS Business Master’s Suite of Rankings assessed 1,132 business master’s programmes worldwide. UIC’s presence in three categories marks another step towards enhancing the international visibility of its postgraduate offering and strengthening its position in fields related to business and management.
