Administration and Service Staff

The Department of Applied Linguistics, together with People Management, offers administration and service staff a series of free and subsidised training activities with the aim of promoting and increasing the use of English and Catalan at the university.

The Department of Applied Linguistics and, with the Department of Human Resourcess, offersoffers free courses to  teaching and administrative staffPAS  forwith the purpose of promoting and improving the use of English and Catalan at the University.

Participants must have a minimum level of English. To find out what your English level is, please take this level test.

The enrolment period for second-semester courses ends 30 January 2024.

In addition, the Department of Applied Linguistics  offers a language support service, open to teaching and administrative staffPAS and PDI, with prior reservation. Tutorial sessions are 2 hours long, schedule to be agreed.

These courses and activities are subject to a minimum number of students.

Preparatory courses for the C1 and C2 level exams which consist of two familiarisation sessions with the official CLUC exams for Catalan and for exam content revision. These courses are linked to the interuniversity calls for official CLUC Catalan exams (obtaining certificates recognised by the Generalitat de Catalunya) that take place on the second Saturday in February (1st semester) and the second Saturday in June (2nd semester). The training course is free, unless otherwise specified.

New! The cost of the A1 and C1 Catalan courses will be covered in full for all staff who are taking the courses for the first time. Discount rate between €100 and €150 on all courses including C2.

On-site, blending learning and online courses: Spanish
New! International staff qualify for a discount rate of €75 on all levels: A1.1, A1.2, B1.1, B1.2, B2.1 and B2.2, as well as half off all online courses.
