Reasons why
  1. Specialize in invasive techniques with high clinical demand:

Train in advanced procedures such as percutaneous electrolysis, dry needling, ultrasound-guided percutaneous neuromodulation and percutaneous laser therapy, techniques that are increasingly relevant in the treatment of complex musculoskeletal injuries.

  2. Learn to work with ultrasound-guided precision:

The programme incorporates musculoskeletal ultrasound as a key tool for assessing, locating structures and guiding procedures with greater safety, precision and clinical efficacy.

  3. Train in practical, simulated and anatomical settings

The training combines practical sessions, simulation with ultrasound scanners and phantoms, simulated or real patients, and cadaver practice, promoting anatomical-ultrasound correlation and technical mastery.

  4. Develop advanced clinical reasoning

Learn to decide when to apply each procedure, which approach to use, which parameters to apply and how to integrate it into an evidence-based multimodal treatment plan.

  5. Train with expert teaching staff connected to clinical practice

A teaching team made up of practising physiotherapists or professionals with accredited experience in invasive physiotherapy, with specialized academic and professional profiles.

Presentation

Title text

The Specialization Diploma in Invasive Physiotherapy trains physiotherapists in advanced ultrasound-guided techniques for the precise, safe and evidence-based treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.

Through practical training in percutaneous electrolysis, dry needling, neuromodulation and percutaneous laser therapy, the programme enables participants to develop expert clinical judgement and technical mastery in simulated, real and anatomical settings.

Title text

Objectives

The main objective of the Specialization Diploma in Invasive Physiotherapy is to train physiotherapists to apply ultrasound-guided invasive techniques in the treatment of injuries and dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system, with a high level of precision, safety and clinical efficacy.

Throughout the programme, students develop the skills needed to integrate musculoskeletal ultrasound into assessment and procedural guidance, select the most appropriate technique for each clinical case and apply treatments such as percutaneous electrolysis, dry needling, ultrasound-guided percutaneous neuromodulation and percutaneous laser therapy through practice based on scientific evidence and focused on patient safety.

Title text

Target audience

This diploma is aimed at physiotherapists who want to expand their clinical practice and specialize in ultrasound-guided invasive techniques for the advanced treatment of injuries and dysfunctions of the locomotor system.

It can also be phrased as follows, with a more aspirational tone:

Aimed at physiotherapists who want to stand out professionally through mastery of advanced invasive physiotherapy techniques, integrating musculoskeletal ultrasound, clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.

Title text

Skills

The programme enables physiotherapists to identify anatomical structures and musculoskeletal pathologies using ultrasound, select the most appropriate technique for each clinical case and perform procedures such as percutaneous electrolysis, dry needling, ultrasound-guided percutaneous neuromodulation and percutaneous laser therapy, while respecting criteria for indication, contraindication and patient safety.

In addition, students will learn to integrate these techniques into a multimodal treatment plan, combining them with other physiotherapy interventions such as therapeutic exercise or manual therapy, and justifying each clinical decision through critical reasoning and current scientific evidence.
