Hands-On Advanced Comprehensive Paediatric Dentistry

This qualification is aimed at dental graduates who wish to gain up-to-date knowledge of the most current treatments in paediatric patients, as well as develop the skills to properly diagnose and carry out appropriate treatment plans. The programme is a practical, hands-on week designed to strengthen manual abilities, enhance clinical skills, and reinforce theoretical knowledge through supervised practice.

Course objectives

• To provide all the necessary tools to educate families starting from pregnancy and to establish appropriate dietary and oral hygiene habits from conception.
• To explain different strategies for managing the behaviour of patients under 3 years of age, as well as performing accurate diagnoses, treatment planning, and age-appropriate restorative options.
• To establish key concepts for the diagnosis and treatment of young permanent teeth.
• To analyse the potential and mechanisms of pulpal repair and regeneration, as well as the disinfection techniques required to optimise these processes.
• To evaluate the indications for direct and indirect restorations in permanent teeth.
• To incorporate anterior tooth stratification techniques.
• To establish a protocol for placing aesthetic crowns on primary teeth.
• To define the principles of Neuro-Occlusal Rehabilitation (NOR).
